More & Operate in Truth

In life, there are a lot of people who are afraid to truly live, to move and operate in their truth. Every one of us has different circumstances. Different experiences. Different scars. No two stories are the same.

But about six years ago, my mentor, Professor John Dickson, told me something that changed my life:

“The only way to truly live, move, and operate in your truth and be unapologetically yourself, is to first look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself the truth.”

At first, those words sound simple. Almost too simple.

But when you really sit with them… they cut deeper than an obsidian blade.

Because telling the truth in the mirror means you can’t hide behind your excuses.

You can’t blame your circumstances.

You can’t perform for the crowd.

You can’t lie to yourself about who you are, where you are, or what you’re avoiding.

And that’s where most people get stuck.

It’s easier to scroll.

Easier to compare.

Easier to shape-shift depending on who’s watching.

Easier to stay comfortable in a version of yourself that feels acceptable, but isn’t authentic.

Living in your truth isn’t loud.

It isn’t performative.

It isn’t about being rebellious for attention.

It’s about alignment.

It’s about your actions matching your values.

It’s about your words matching your character.

It’s about who you are in private being the same person you are in public.

And the only way to get there is radical honesty with yourself.

Not the kind of honesty that shames you.

The kind that frees you.

So let me ask you something:

What is actually stopping you from living, moving, and operating in your truth?

Is it fear?

Is it approval?

Is it the version of you that other people expect?

Or is it the version of you that you’ve outgrown but refuse to release?

Because until you’re willing to look in the mirror and tell yourself the truth, nothing changes.

But the moment you do?

That’s when you stop performing.

That’s when you stop shrinking.

That’s when you stop negotiating who you are.

And that’s when you finally start living.
